Inspire a Smile with Wish Lanterns

Wish lanterns automatically bring a smile to anyone’s face. They are inspiring and elegant which makes them a perfect way to celebrate World Smile Day. The first World Smile Day was in 1999 announced by Harvey Ball, the creator of the smiley face which we have grown to use often and love. He had created the smiley face in 1963 to inspire good will and cheer to everyone, but since it has been morphed and lost its meaning. So, in 1999 he declared that the first Friday of October will be World Smile Day and it’s the day when everyone in the world will unite to do something good to make someone smile. In celebration with the World Smile Day why not gather with family and friends and think of ways to make perfect strangers smile. There are many ways that you can inspire a smile from someone, no matter how bad their way was or how sad they are. There’s no better feeling than making someone’s day by doing a simple good deed that took you only a couple of seconds. A great way to bring a smile to your face and anyone nearby is by lighting wish lanterns and releasing them in your area. You don’t know how many people each wish lantern will reach. By gathering with your friends and family and releasing good into the world, you change people’s lives without even knowing it. Why not write happy, inspirations, or even funny messages on a paper and attach a unique one on each lantern, imagine the smile that they will put on someone’s face when they eventually land somewhere far away and they read the message sent by you. Now that’s a great way to celebrate World Smile Day!
