Thanksgiving is almost here and Wish Lanterns wants to take part in your family celebration this year! Are you ready with the preparation for Thanksgiving this year? We sure hope so because it’s just around the corner. Here are some great suggestions to getting organized this Holiday season and making sure that everything is in place:
- Set a schedule: Make a list of everything you will need and get it ahead of time, which gives you plenty of room to discover if something is missing. Then sit down and make a schedule of how you see the day going.
- Prepare activities: It’s very difficult to concentrate on the cooking and making sure that everything is perfect with screaming children running around the house. So think of fun activities which will keep the occupied. Also, if there is an older child, have them organize the activities and keep them entertained.
- Organize Tasks: There will be plenty of helping hands around, and in order to make sure that everyone has the pleasure of saying they helped with the Thanksgiving dinner, as well as staying well out of your way, organize what each person will do before they arrive. This will help save time when they start asking how they can help.
- Throw perfection out the window: This is a family holiday that involves lots of people, food, and lots of room for things to not go exactly as you planned. Don’t panic if things aren’t turning out exactly as planned or scheduled, enjoy your time with the family and let things flow.
Lastly, don’t forget your wish lanterns! It’s a great way to end the Thanksgiving dinner. Have the whole family step outside, give each a little piece of paper and pen, and ask them to write something they are thankful for this year and attach each of them to different lanterns. Then the whole family can take part in releasing them.
