On the 8 of March people all around the world celebrate the International (working) women’s day. This year you can surprise your fellow women, your moms, aunts, friends by organizing a little celebration and have the party lit with wish lanterns.
Many people do not know that, but there is another day to celebrate the women, apart from mother’s day. This day is sponsored by the United Nations and the holiday was created in the late 1800’s and early 1900’s. Women from socialist movements and trade unions gave birth to this important holiday. The focus of that tradition is upon the working women and their advancement in the fight of the women’s right, their growing importance in society and politics. This holiday was first celebrated on 19 March 1911 and was celebrated annually since then.
You can organize an office party or just have a little celebration for your women friends and show them your appreciation for the wonderful work they do. If you want to make it a party to remember, not just another office gathering, you can create a wonderful ambiance if you light a
few lanterns. At some point of the celebration you can all gather and release these lanterns, sending in the sky all your good thoughts and making wishes for another successful year and your gratitude to women all around the world for their perseverance and hard work.
Celebrate the International Women’s Day by lighting wish lanterns in the sky – show your appreciation to women.
