Floating Water Lanterns | How To Use Guide

We launched our range of Floating Water Lanterns back in 2009 and they remain one of our most popular items.

Floating water lanterns are designed for still bodies of water like a lake or pond where they can be released as night falls and float with the gentle currents of the water and the wind.

They are not designed with the currents of a river in mind – and you will also lose the magical effect of the lit lanterns when they float further down the river.

Some great ideas on how they can be used to great effect are shown on our floating water lantern Pinterest board as well as simple instructions on how to assemble them when you receive them.

They are very simple to assemble. You simply have to drop in a tea light or one of our LED tea lights – as shown below – and let the floating water lanterns drift into the distance.

We also sell a range of designer sleeves for our floating lanterns that are shown in the video at the top of the page. And to achieve the effect shown in the video have a look at our fully submersible LED lights.

Our range of floating water lanterns and designer sleeves can all be found on the main wish lantern website floating lantern page.
